A painter, Witold Gombrowicz’s friend and author of the book Gombrowicz in Vence met in our Museum with the audience and gave as a gift to the Museum six paintings which used to hang in Gombrowicz’s apartment in Vence. The cycle of paintings is named Motifs from Vence.
The Museum bought one painting, the remaining five are a donation from Kazimierz Głaz. The value of donated paintings amounts to PLN 100 000. Mariusz Knorowski, Deputy Director for Artistic Affairs at the Polish Sculpture Centre in Orońsko delivered a few words of introduction concerning Kazimierz Głaz’s artistic output.
